Welcome to Johnny's Ristorante Italiano, a cherished gem nestled in Reno, Nevada. Located at 4245 W 4th St, this Italian restaurant has become synonymous with authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with the enticing aromas of freshly prepared dishes that promise a culinary journey right to Italy.
Customers rave about the remarkable consistency and freshness found in every dish. As Beau Bennett noted, "Every aspect of Johnny's is tweaked for comfort and seriously good Italian food." This is evident in their diverse menu offerings, catering to every palate. Whether you're in the mood for a classic plate of lasagna or a unique pasta special, there's something to satisfy every craving.
For many patrons, like URENDA21, the highlight is the lasagna, which has been hailed as the best in town. The combination of the restaurant's warm ambiance and stunning views creates a dining experience that is both enjoyable and memorable. Guests are treated not just to delicious food, but to impeccable service that leaves a lasting impression.
Tanya, a devoted fan, emphasizes that Johnny's is "the ONLY place to go for authentic Italian food," giving high praise to the sausage lasagna and garlic bread. These dishes showcase the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and traditional Italian recipes. It's no wonder that diners return again and again, seeking that perfect blend of flavors and homestyle comfort.
Another customer, Ashley Rains, highlights the restaurant's outstanding service and the exquisite range of pastas and soups available. Her experience with the cannelloni and minestrone echoed a common theme: Johnny's excels in delivering authentic culinary masterpieces at reasonable prices. In fact, many diners feel that the quality far exceeds that of larger chains, elevating the dining experience to new heights.
Reservations at Johnny's Ristorante Italiano are strongly recommended, especially if you want to secure a coveted spot in the main dining area, as Jeff Tenebaum points out. The lemon wine sauce and daily specials are must-tries that showcase the restaurant's culinary creativity and passion for Italian cuisine.

Traveling through town and was lucky enough to experience the best lasagna I've tasted in a long time. The atmosphere and views are amazing. Everyone was kind and helpful.
The ONLY place to go for authentic Italian food, top-notch service & a perfect atmosphere. My two favorite menu items that are consistently incredible: sausage lasagna and the garlic bread. You won’t find a better Italian spot in Reno.
This place is amazing. Wonderful service, authentic style pastas and soups, great wine list. I don't think I have anything bad to say. It can get a little loud because the tables are a little close, but that's okay. Very nice restaurant for it being where it is. I got the cannelloni with minestrone and both were great. The bruschetta is basic but delicious. My husband got the evenings special, lemon angel hair pasta with shrimp and loved it. I would 100% recommend trying this spot. Also, amazing prices. I would say comparable, if not better priced than olive garden. But a whole different level than olive garden. Would be an insult to compare the food to olive garden.
One of the best Italian places I've been. Must make reservations unless you sit in the bar area and even then you may need a res. Their lemon wine sauce was amazing, and the lasagne special that night was wonderful.
My girlfriend and our friends had a great dinner here. Great drinks and delicious food. Highly recommend if you want Italian food and pasta in Reno. Popular among locals!
Four of us dined there and nothing but compliments all around..a little rare for our family! The food was top notch. The pizza was also a nice surprise-it was on par with pizza we had in Rome. Service and drinks were also great. Will definately be back.
We went as a large group for a wedding. Our server was top notch and was on it. The food was amazing, the drinks quite delicious, the whole vibe was great. I have some dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate me and provide amazing selections. Cannot wait to come back, please reserve a table in advance, enjoy
